SUMMARY:Breakfast with Dr. Steven Holbrook
DESCRIPTION:Dr. Holbrook is a geophysicist who works with crustal-scale marine reflection and refraction seismic surveys.  In addition to his marine geophysics research\, he also has an interest in near-surface environmental geophysics as it pertains to watershed hydrology. \nDr. Holbrook is a co-founder of the WyCehg (Wyoming Center for Environmental Hydrology and Geophysics).  WyCEHG (pronounced “Y-Keg”) was established in July 2012 by a $20 M grant from the National Science Foundation’s EPSCoR program — the largest research grant ever awarded to the University of Wyoming.  http://steveholbrook.com/wycehg/ \nEMPOWER is hosting a catered breakfast with Dr. Holbrook on Friday October 21st at 8:30 – 9:30 am in Heroy conference room 333C.  This is an opportunity to interface with Dr. Holbrook and learn more about his research and the WyCEHG center.
