SUMMARY:Rwandan Field Course
DESCRIPTION:This course will engage EMPOWER students in field research as part of an interdisciplinary team working in challenging conditions. Students will travel to Lake Kivu\, Rwanda\, in the African Great Rift Valley\, to study processes of hydrocarbon source rock formation\, unique methods of fossil fuel extraction\, and energy solutions used in the developing world. The course is designed to prepare students technically in their fields of study\, but also to provide preparation for careers requiring intensive collaboration. \n
