SUMMARY:Strategic Career Planning Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Dr. Josh Henkin\, from STEM Career Services\, will be facilitating a workshop on Strategic Career Planning. This workshop explores the skills and best practices for transitioning from an academic environment to one of the numerous non-academic career paths. It introduces students to a more strategic approach to career planning that encourages them to gain experience and build their professional network early in their academic training. Topics covered include: creating your “elevator pitch\,” networking as a part of life\, developing the nontechnical skills that employers seek\, job searching tips/tricks and more! \nThe workshop is co-sponsored by Syracuse University’s Career Services Office\, The Graduate School\, and the College of Arts and Sciences. \nIf you would like to meet with Dr. Henkin while he is at Syracuse University\, please contact Deanna McCay (dhmccay@syr.edu).
