Fred Schroeder, “Careers in the Petroleum Industry”

Fred Schroeder, American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) Visiting Geoscientist, will speak on, “Careers in the Petroleum Industry.”
Fred W. Schroeder is an independent consultant with over 35 years of industry experience. His experience includes 3D survey design, fault interpretation, and analyzing potential reservoirs, sources and seals. Additionally, Schroeder has designed, developed and delivered numerous in-house training classes from introductory to advanced levels. He has traveled extensively through the Visiting Geoscientist Program, offering traditional lectures and short courses. Fred Schroeder is one of the most popular VGs and has traveled to 14 universities throughout the last year, with additional trips scheduled.
The AAPG Visiting Geoscientist Program is designed to give students the opportunity to meet practicing geoscientists and to discuss geoscience career options. Speakers usually present a technical talk in their area of specialization as well as on career options and the best way to plan a career path. The speakers welcome an opportunity to discuss the changes which have taken place in the job market discuss new technical challenges (http://www.aapg.org).
