Students interested in pursuing graduate study and professional training within the “water-energy” nexus are encouraged to apply. Students participating in the EMPOWER program complete the same course of study required for their degree program in their home department. They also complete the requirements of the EMPOWER program and have access to the resources provided by the program.
Review of applications for students already enrolled in graduate study at S.U. will begin on Dec. 1. Applications from internal candidates submitted after Dec. 1 will be considered on a space available basis.
Interested students should submit the application materials listed below and solicit a supporting letter from their faculty advisor. The faculty advisor should send the nominating letter directly to Deanna McCay (firstname.lastname@example.org).
- 500-word statement of interest: In your statement, please describe your research interests, career goals, and how participation in the EMPOWER Program will contribute to your research and long-term career goals.
- Name and contact information of faculty advisor
Email your application materials to Deanna McCay, EMPOWER Program Manager (email@example.com).
Students who are not selected for (or not eligible for) stipend support may still participate fully in the EMPOWER Program.
