All trainees take a 3-credit course in science communication. The course provides communication training, and helps students develop oral and written communications skills desired by employers in academic and non-academic careers. The principles, practices and processes of journalism, documentary, and new media are taught in the context of public understanding of science and technology.
Students in the class produce a multi-media website for their final collaborative project. The Spring 2017 website is found here: http://www.scicom2017.org/
