Water-Energy Nexus Seminar

This seminar is a 1-credit course featuring current research in science and engineering at the interface of water and energy. The seminar is intended to provide a forum for faculty and students from across disciplines to learn more about and discuss current research in areas of mutual interest, to network with visiting professionals and to get to know others working in water and energy related fields. We review and discuss papers, have small group discussions and attend lecturers. The seminar is integrated with a visiting lecture series sponsored by EMPOWER.

The seminar is comprised of three components: (1) discussions of research papers facilitated by class members; (2) professional development activities; and (3) networking opportunities with visiting professionals. Students are encouraged, and often required, to participate fully in the networking activities that are organized with each guest speaker of the lecture series.
